The image, WINTER MIST, was taken in the Sierra Nevada mountain range at Bass Lake. This particular image was taken on a very cold, single digit morning just after a large snow storm. Ice had formed on the lake and the storm had left hundreds of small balls of snow scattered on the ice. The golden light illuminating the mist only lasted for only a few moments and then it disappeared. More examples of my work can be found on line at bonafoto.com.

At a young age I was fascinated with cameras and the image making process. In my development, I became more observant of light and learned to create images that matched my vision. Thirty years later I still feel the need to create and share this vision. I do spend a lot of time looking up, clouds that produce filtered light and shadows that rake across a scene is what draws me to landscape photography. Yosemite and the Sierra Mountains are special places for me, there is no shortage of amazing moments and grand landscapes.
